Are your legs healthy?
Do you also have sore feet in the evening or swollen ankles, do you also suffer from nighttime calf cramps and blue veins preventing you from wearing short skirts or trousers?
You are not alone. Venous affections have become a real popular disease. One in two women and one in four men suffer from it. However, venous problems are not irrevocable.
You can fix it!
Move as much as possible, raise your legs at night (10 cm above the heart), do not cross your legs (this puts pressure on the veins), wear comfortable clothes and underwear, practice some sports (swimming, hiking and cycling are excellent), eat healthy (every extra kilo puts your legs and your veins to work) and avoid the heat.

Blood circulation
The average adult heart pumps five liters of blood per minute through the human body. Blood supplies all parts of the body with vital nutrients. The pumping power can increase up to 30 liters per minute or even more, during physical exertion!
The vascular system consists of arteries, veins, capillaries and lymphatic vessels. Oxygen-rich blood reaches all organs with the help of the large arteries and thus supplies the tissues with nutrients. Veins carry oxygen-poor blood back to the right ventricle from all parts of our body.
This is where the veins in the legs have to do an important job: they work against gravity to bring blood back to the heart from the lower parts of the body.
If this mechanism does not work properly for reasons such as lack of exercise or illness, this can lead to serious consequences.
The veins cannot contract on their own, they must be supported by the muscular apparatus. It follows a slowing down of blood reflux in the legs which in turn increases the pressure in the veins and relaxes them. The venous system is then damaged and increasingly disturbed - this is the beginning of a vicious circle.
Don't ignore the early symptoms this phenomenon. Ask your doctor for advice. He knows different possibilities that can help you. He will decide if your legs will be relieved by elastic compression stockings, by medicines, by surgery or by any other treatments.

Support stockings, compression stockings or medical compression stockings ?
Support stockings are not suitable for the treatment of pathologies, they serve mainly as a preventive measure.
Compression stockings exert intermittent pressure, solely in response to muscle contraction during physical activity.
Medical compression stockings are beneficial for the treatment of pathologies such as varicose veins, lymphedema, lipedema, deep phlebitis or trombophlebitis. Compression improves venous and lymphatic reflux.
Compression stockings now guarantee excellent comfort thanks to numerous accessories (open feet, silicone support bands, etc.). They are easy to maintain and sensitive skin is respected. Magnificent ranges of colors make them beautiful!
